BTC transactions are expensive and slow, with an average of 10 minutes per block and sometimes up to an hour for a single block. This means that during high-demand minting events, like for minting popular Runes/BRC20 tokens, gas prices can skyrocket unpredictably. An unpredictable gas price means a single acceleration might not suffice; multiple accelerations may be necessary to ensure our transaction is confirmed on-chain before the minting ends, or we risk losing all the transaction fees sent.

BTCBot has a feature that helps speed up your transactions when you're minting Runes/BRC20 tokens. If the gas price suddenly goes up, BTCBot can quickly figure out the minimum gas price needed for the next block and automatically boost your minting transactions for you. This way, your transactions can be confirmed on the Bitcoin as soon as possible, making sure you successfully mint your tokens.

However, if the token you're minting isn't in a hurry to be processed, you can choose to wait longer for it to be confirmed. In BTCBot, you can set it up so that it only starts boosting your transactions after you've reached a certain point in your minting progress.

You have a few choices on how this works:

  • Always On: It means BTCBot will always boost your minting transactions if needed.

  • Always Off: it means BTCBot never will boost your minting transactions.

  • Custom Progress: You can also choose a specific percentage, like 40%, which means BTCBot will start boosting your minting transactions only after 40% of the minting process is done and if your minting transaction hasn't been confirmed yet.
