# Using BTCBot

### Is BTCBot free?

The bot is free to access, but not free to use. 

* Transactions through BTCBot will be charged a 0.4%\~1% tax on every trade.
* The default fee is 1%, however, you can reduce your fees by up to 60% through our [Loyalty Program](/btcbot/faq/loyalty-program.md) and [Referral Program](/btcbot/faq/referral-program.md).

### Is BTCBot safe?

All private keys are encrypted using industry-standard encryption and are kept offline. The only thing you need to take care of is securing Telegram by activating two-factor authentication.
