# Manual Boost

BTC transactions are expensive and slow, with an average of 10 minutes per block and sometimes up to an hour for a single block. This means that during high-demand minting events, such as minting popular Runes/BRC20 tokens, gas prices can skyrocket unpredictably. An unpredictable gas price means a single acceleration might not suffice; multiple accelerations may be necessary to ensure our transaction is confirmed on-chain before the minting ends, or we risk losing all the transaction fees sent.

In addition to providing [Auto Boost](/btcbot/beginners-guide/tx-booster/auto-boost.md), BTCBot also allows you to manually boost a transaction for minting Runes/BRC20 tokens, offering you a more flexible boost solution.

You can manually boost your transaction by following these steps:

* **Check All Pending Mints**: Find /pending in the Menu to check all your pending Runes/BRC20 mint transactions.
* **Enter the Manual Boost interface**: Click the \[Manual Boost] button next to the transaction you want to manually boost to enter the Manual Boost interface.
* **Set the target Gas Price**: You can manually set the Gas Price to which you want to boost.
* **Submit the Boost Tx**: Submit the boost transaction, which will raise the effective Gas Price of your previous transactions to the target Gas Price you set.
